Vietnam to open Hoi An to fully-vaccinated tourists

The Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism has submitted a three-stage tourism recovery plan to allow fully-vaccinated foreign tourists to visit Hoi An from November. No quarantine will be required from fully-vaccinated tourists visiting Vietnam from either one of these 72 countries.

In the first stage, fully-vaccinated tourists will be allowed to visit Hoi An town and My Son Sanctuary, an abandoned and partially-ruined complex coddled by Hindu temples constructed by the Champa Kingdom between the 4th and 14th centuries.

During this stage, only three five-star hotels - Hoiana Resort, TUI BLUE Nam Hoi An and Vinpearl Resort & Golf Nam Hoi An - will be allowed to host tourists. Tourist attractions such as VinWonders Nam Hoi An and Vinpearl Golf Nam Hoi An will also be opened to tourists.

To enter, visitors will need to present their vaccine certificate showing their vaccine status. Visitors will also need to have had their second vaccination or recovered from the novel Covid-19 virus at least 14 days before their arrival. For visitors below the age of 18, they will need to produce a negative Covid-19 test certificate.
